My dealer says he can't get the parts for the F21 blower motor recall. Has anyone else been told this? Can anyone point me to a copy of the recall so I can check on the parts myself?

I believe it is CBRAG031-AA. A couple of folks have had this complaint but for most it is a 30 minute drive in drive out deal. It would be worthwhile to get the claim that they can't get the parts down on paper. If your Libby gets torched over a bad blower and you don't have on racord that you tried to have it changed DC might point their finger at you for negligence in disregarding the recall.

I took my CRD in for a leaking rear pinion seal and while it was there they went ahead and did the blower recall. everything was done the same day I dropped it off.

I would check with a different dealer.

I got put on a waiting list until the part comes in, but apparently Bill is going to the other dealer and getting the part right away. It would appear that the dealers are not sharing parts for recalls.

I was told not to worry because the instances of the motor on fire was dude to running on the highest speed for a period of 6 hours...for what ever that is worth.

They have been very good on everything else.

We'll see if they ever call with the new motor...

I was told that Chrysler was having the dealers order the parts as needed. So I made an appointment and waited 2 weeks for the part to come in.

I can't imagine what it would take temp wise to require running the blower on high for six hours unless you just like noise. Even on the hottest days when making my Tucson to San Diego trip, I never get over the 3.

I made a appointment requesting ball joint, software flash and heater blower all in one trip. Showed up at the arranged date and time and no blower :? Must be some internal rule about at least two trips  It took almost three more weeks for the blower to arrive.

The first blower replacement was sooo noisy the Dealer replaced it again. Have not been able to try this since it is at the Dealer for ESP, ABS issues.

Two weeks after the blower motor was replaced, the switch seems to have partially failed. We only get off or full-blast. The middle positions are all essentially off.
