Heather emailed me this question: checked into the Moog K3199's and I was told that they work fine for GAS model KJs, but not with the CRDs. ?? Have you heard of anyone using these on their CRD? Does any body know the answer? |

I installed them on my CRD. No problems so far. |

I orderd them for a CRD and installed them myself. I've been checking them with a dial indicator and they are staying put. They are greaseable and look quite superior to the stock units. I did not trust the DC replacement. |

Know several people that have opted to install Moogs in lieu of the recall. One owner called the manufacturer directly to verify that Moogs would work on the CRD, just as CYA, and received an affirmative answer. I called my dealer, and volunteered to supply the Moog ball joints in lieu of the stock units, for performing the recall. I got the answer I expected - "it'll void your warranty". And in this case, I knew that answer wasn't originating with the dealer, but from up at the corporate level. |
