I just changed out my CAC outlet side tube. It nearly cost me $150 but I managed to shame the dealer down to MSRP 95$ when I showed them the online price at wholesalemopar.com ($75).

Well, with 30K on it with no EHM or provent, there was a small pool of oil at the bottom of the tube (1/4 teaspoon).

The hose was very much intact, however. I could not detect a difference, by feel or by visual inspection, with the new hose (other than the oil).

So, the change was not required in my case.

Of course, I have my eye on the inlet hose coming off the turbo, and it is sweating oil to the point that the surrounding area is getting oily and dirty.

Bill

That's the one I had replaced under warranty.

That is indeed very strange how the intercooler hose can "sweat" oil from it. I noticed that oil on the outside a few times and was shocked and couldn't locate a leak. Very strange!

Sam,

Ya, I know about the roll over.. do you think that something punctured the outlet hose in the rollover?

Folks, how about CCV mod? Costs about $30 and you can buy everything at your local hardware store. Mine used to be oil soaked all the time too. Every since I got the CCV mod its been bone dry.

No I doubt it, but there wasnt any oil on the dipstick, and I think most of it ran into the intake:
