Ok after a few issues with my CRD that just passed the 36k mark my MPG started to go WAY up. Just wondering if anybody else had any this happen. I searched but did not find much. @ 35k I had the alignment redone properly after having the dealer mess it up. Gained 1-2 mpg. Now I took it to Seattle and it got 28.7 MPG w/ 245/75/R16 tires and an ARB front bumper. It's always been about 19-21 in town and 22-24 on the highway before. Just wondering if anybody else has seen this happen before. Hopefully nothing broke right after???? I'm sorta debating about NOT putting on the lift kit I have sitting next to it in the shop as I really like this MPG jump..... Anyways let me know guys. Thanks! |

I have been looking for my mileage. It went away sometime this summer after I put the AT's and basket on. I don't know if it hitched a ride with you or you just downright stole it but I would like it back....PLEASE! |

Don't the 245/75/16 tires rub without the lift? I like the choice of tire size and was debating between 235 or 245. |

Very minimal rubbing as the ARB front bumper removes most of the stock bumper and where it rubs. Reading on the TDR website they reported that under 60 it's tires....over 60 it's aero....least that's what the linked cummins report said. |

If I am reading between the lines, you put on new big tires somewhere at 35k, hence alingment etc? If the speedo is not calibrated, you will get a big mileage jump!!! |

Bigger tires, fewer revolutions per mile, lower mileage recorded over same distance equals reduction in mileage calculated all other things being equal not an increase. |
