I plugged it in for a dealer visit. I can't get is back out. Has my dealer been lurking here and super glued it in or am I just stupid? I pulled the red clip out then pulled and pryed on the plug but nothing. HLP!

Maybe heat shunk the section on the air box...or did you have the plug hanging in a bad location. Let us know :?:

It wasn't tight when I plugged it in. For a while I had it looped over the loom on the coolant pipe then I decided that if I put it loosely back in the receptacle both the plug and receptacle would eat less dust but not make contact. I can't figure it out. I thought perhaps there was a secondary release I had forgotten in my old age.

After you slide the red clip over you have to push on the main clip (tab release) that secures the connector to the sensor. The red clip is only an extra safety to ensure the main clip doesn't fail and come apart.
Mine doesn't seem to work though, It keeps falling off the MAF all the time...

Curtis wins the Kewpie Doll. Not sure why it was so easy the first times I did it but so hard this time. Thanks all and especially Curtis.

Thanks for the pie, I have gotten lots of info from this great website. Its nice to give a little back.

Hey Cowcatcher did you get one of the Turbo Tim ORM kits? I got one all assembled except for the wiring part. I'm waiting to get my Fuel filter changed at the dealer. Then I will install it and not worry about plugs or Cel's anymore.

Curtis,

I didn't have the courage to ORM Kit my Liberty so I bought the ScanGaugeII and will just clear the code. It is nice to have the code reader anyhow and a useful tool to transfer to another rig in the future. In a couple of years, when all my warranty has expired, I might hack the cable and if there had been a connector adapter available now to plug in at the MAF I would have done it now. I might check out a few "you pulls" and see if I can scavenge a MAF and the end of the cable to make an adapter but I will just buy the parts on my own if I can make that happenand build from scratch.
