Pulled.. get this P0101(MAF range/..self inflicted I think) P0299(Low Boost) P0652(sensor ref voltage B low) P0107(MAP Low P0193 (Fuel rail sensor high) I will clear the codes in the morning and play around a bit. I wonder if the ref. voltage code explains alot.. It is late but I had to know after just getting the code reader from a friend. ![]() |

Maybe the cables came out or something. Or the plug itself came loose. |

It looks like the P0107 comes back right away and the sensor is plugged in so I will have to check the sensor and voltages. |

Remove the sensor and clean it. If that don't fix it, you need a new sensor. |

O.K, here is what I found. The P0107 code was the only one that would return so I did some testing with the Boost/Temp sensor and found that the ref. voltages were good but the sensor return would stay at .016 volts no matter what so I replaced the sensor. After I replaced the sensor I put some dielectric grease on the connector because there was some moisture in the connector that left some corrosion. When I started it back up the light was still on and it had 2 codes this time(P0107 and P0113) those were the same codes that were set when I unplugged the sensor and ran it while troubleshooting. I was starting to wonder if I had wiring problems so after I filled my coffee cup and came back out I pulled the connector to make sure the connection was good........Guess what......The dielectric grease was creating a film between the connections and acting like it wasn't even plugged in. $40.00 for the new Boost/Map/Temp sensor with the new # ending in 850 and I am good to go, Happy jeep again. I am curious to see if my mileage improves now. |

This is the sensor at the back of the engine that periodically needs cleaning, correct? Do you have the complete part #. Thanks! |

I will post it in the morning. I would almost recommend buying one for a spare since it is only $40.00. I think I got a good deal from the Bremerton Dodge online parts dept. I will get the web address too but I don't have it here right now. |

I've seen that before but after a few months, not right away. Despite it's popularity for making good connections it's primary use is to insulate ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Intermittent connections cause same symptoms as defective sensor - don't pitch that sensor - clean the connector pins as below, test it by plugging it in - if it is functional, store it for off-road emergency spare You will need to pull the engine harness connector again to clean any corrosion out of the pins, or it will transfer to the new sensor connector pins - just dip it into CLR until the oxidation is gone, rinse with clear water, rinse with water\baking soda mix to nuetralize the acids, then rinse again with clear water - use the 'significant other's' hair dryer to blow-dry the connector pins, use the die-electric grease to prevent further oxidation, and yer good to go. That die-electric grease is used in all the hi-end GM PCM connectors, incl the PCM connectors, to prevent oxidation\corrosion. |

Still $74.90 is cheaper than $100 from my dealer. |

well over the past 3 days ive been in and out of limp mode... ![]() Today on the way to work i had no problems... hit WOT many times with out it going into limp mode. (which would happen around 3k rpm) after work today i plan on taking a hack saw to my old filter and see whats on the inside. I would like to find some kind of mess in there for a peace of mind and to know that was the prob... |

I just changed my filter a 3 week ago, and prior to the change I was having to bleed it every other day. After the change, it's been three week and 4000 miles without having to bleed it once. My thoughts: when I removed the old filter, it was barely hand tight. I was wondering at the time if the gasket degraded or the vibration loosened it. I wish I had tightened it before I changed the new one to see if that removed the air problem. The new one is on gorilla tight. |
