for those of you familiar with the Diesel Purge process for TDIs, I'd like to pose the question of the process suitability on the CRD engines.

For those of you who are not familiar with the process you can visit the TDIclub.com forum for more info or follow the link
http://sustainablepower.net/TDI/info-ar ... VE_TDI.pdf

SO THE QUESTION IS:
is this procedure OK to do on a CRD given the CRD techonolgy that is somewhat diferrent from the TDI.

Thanks much for you input...

I've used this before on older VW's and on a 86 Volvo I6 TD with good results  It's good stuff :!: They also make a in "the tank version" as a preventative  I suspect with our pizo injectors we'll be seeing a need for it in the future

After 400 hours of WOT at power level well exceeding the stock ratings, the tips of the injectors are still pretty clean. I wouldn't risk what that stuff would do to the pump seals and mprop. Also what's the compressibility of that stuff when it gets injected at 360bar?
