Any chance y'all know of a good shop for getting an install somewhere in the Kansas City (64154) or St Joseph (64504) Missouri areas. I'm sure there's some good transmission folks around here, but I've been lucky not to need to find them before. I've an 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD with 81K miles (all mine). It hasn't been right from day one (long delay before it will move from cold start, noisy rattle). Dealer did partial F37 (torque converter only). I believe I need to find a local shop to:
change pump and filter verify health of the transmission add aux cooler add temp gauge Thanks, |

Try calling Suncoast. They will look at a database and give you some locations. Your list looks right. You'll love the peace of mind everytime your tc punches into engagement. |

Perhaps I should have noted that I've sent an inquiry to Suncoast. They were already closed for the day when I identified what I need to be looking for, so I began by sending an email to them. Will also follow up by calling them (during business hours). I'm hoping my post here may turn up a lost member who could make a first hand recommendation of a shop in the area (or at least the four state region) with CRD experience. The thought of continuing to be held hostage by dealerships for tranny/engine work is not good for my blood pressure ![]() |

Don't go to "Edgar's" on Kaw drive in Edwards ville near the Turner Diag. They rebuilt the same trans twice for me, and BOTH times they put the exact SAME gasket in backwards, creating a leak because there was a pressurized passage that went through it. I told the Mechanic that recommended them and he just shook his head. K |
