Post subject:  Used '05 Sport

Just left my dealer for a warranty turbo hose. They had an '05 Sport, pretty basic, that they had just gotten in from an auction. 49K miles and a little cosmetic damage on the right front bumper cover. Tires not too great I don't think but didn't look that close. $21,900. They told me that they will buy any reasonable ones they can get their hands on and they will not generally be on the lot for longer than 48 hours.

I also looked at a KK but again not too close as I have my perfectly fine KJ. I am not a real off road person and while I have heard some who are bemoan the KJ trailer hitch for its impact on departher angle it seems to me that most of us would drag the gass tank long before the hitch. Not so on the KK. The factory hitch will take 2.5" to 3" away from the published departcher angle.

The other thing that I noticed is the a pretty similarly appointed KK Limited stickered for about the same as my CRD. Rather have the CRD thank you.

$ 21,900??

I bought my '05 Sport (with sunroof and 7/70 extended warranty) in 4/05 for $ 22,500. If I wait a little longer, maybe I can make a profit !!!

For that kind of money I would deliver mine to Spokane WA, whats the dealers contact info. Sound like I could get most of what I paid for and have driven 3 years for free (almost free a little bit of agrivation but worth it)

I think you could sell a CRD in Portland, Seattle or Spokane in that price range but the dealers are getting them out of auctions from folks who are impatient and unload them cheap because they don't ubderstand them. You would get more on a trade-in here but you would get close to your investment only if you sold it yourself.

I bought my '05 Sport last spring for $19,100 from Carmax, which is known to not have stellar deals on cars. It had 9600 miles on it when I bought it. Closing in on 20,000 now. No big issues to speak of.
