Wondering if it is smaller than the Provent, as from what I have read it was designed for 4 cylinder diesel applications. I'm having trouble finding pricing info online though... |

That is correct - and if you didn't terminate that drain port, either in the crankcase or with a plug, the 2.8 CCV system is non-functional, assuming, instead, the characteristics of the EHM - word up, dudes.......................... |

Interesting to note that the vapor out of the filter CCV goes into the line between the air filter and the Turbo ! I guess Jeep was not the only ones thinking that this was a "good" idea. B |

Couldn't you have the racor/provent return oil to the sump? You would need to pull the sump off and get a fitting put on it though. |

The Racor uses fittings which are not commonly available. I looked into it when I first got my CRD. To me, because of the size and porting of the Racor, it looked like it would be hard to fit under the hood. I actually like the product, but without being able to try it for fit first, I passed. I don't know why anybody would want the drainage from a Provent or Racor going back into their oil pan. It is truly some nasty stuff and mostly water. I'd happily replace the lost oil in the drainage rather than put that stuff in the pan. |

That's the only area where it would function, Bill - other side of the turbo compressor is compressed air, usually at some level above Barometric pressure How did you setup your Provent drain, goglio? |

How did you setup your Provent drain, goglio? Just a length of hose with a valve for periodic draining. |

That'll work - haven't had a chance to fully investigate #2 son's new ride, so don't know if this one is capped or what - #1 son sez there's increasing drip spot under the Jeep every day, so I'm stressed - could be the Provent bypass valve venting, even worse. |
