Monday I ordered 2 Wix Fuel Filters from RockAuto.com for total cost of $47.50. Today they arrived at my door and I'm quite pleased. Part number is 33647.

FYI - Wix and Purolator (and, at one time, Fram) makes all the oem filters - several years back, there was a big blow up when Fram oil filters began disintegrating, plugging up pumps and coolers and passages and galleries and bearings and lifters and, well, you get my drift - with result of considerable engine damage and warranty claims.

Fram did this big damage-recovery publicity campaign, but those 'in the know' still won't touch a fram liquid-type filter, such as oil and fuel filters, and their air filters are considered sorta iffy, as a result.

Fram has quite possibly recovered, and their media quality may again be what it always was, but once burned, twice............well, you know

Napa has a low line of filters that are not made by WIX so make sure you are getting a WIX if that is what you ask for. (unless something has changed there that I am not aware of)

Sorry but you are wrong on the CRD partner as NAPA takes you right to the WIX site and they only supply one fuel filter for the CRD.

The Wix filter is stamped made in China, I changed it today and I see no difference than the Mopar filter except a better seal for the WIF sensor.

I did say WIX in very small print right beside Made in China along with the wix part number that was one extra 3 at the front of the part number. It came in a plain brown box Other then the very small print it was not "branded".

Don't sweat the Chinese stuff - their good products are good - prollem is, their bad products are just as bad as our bad products - the entrepenuer is the deciding factor, just as it is in Japanese products, or Korean products, etc - it's the buy low sell hi group that causes the bad rap by buying cheap selling hi - every country has cheap stuff, well below the low to us stuff

Those filters are designed by WIX and must meet WIX stringent testing standards B4 they go on the shelf - just make sure it says WIX, and not WIZ or WEX or WICKS
