Well after 2 years it is time to sell the Liberty. We didn't have any kids when we bought it and now we have a 13 month old and another due to arrive in time for Thanksgiving. The Liberty is just a bit too small for 2 adults, 2 kids in carseats and any thing more than a diaper bag, so we are looking at something marginally larger as the wifes daily driver. The details of our Liberty: One owner, 2005 Liberty CRD Limited, in Dark Khaki with leather, sirius, all options minus sunroof. 39322 Miles of use as wifes daily driver, Interior/Leather is in excellent condition, Exterior has a couple of small dings and scratches, parking lot type stuff, otherwise paint looks great, wife always parks in the garage. 1.5" Daystar lift installed by Desert Rat Offroad 5- Moab's with General Grabber AT2's, 255/70/16, with 15k miles, rotated every oil change All fluids changed to synthetic, and according to schedule. Royal Purple 75/90 in front diff, 75/140 in rear at 13k miles Rotella T Synth 5-40 every 4-5k, after intial 1500 mile change Tranny fluid and filter serviced at 20k miles Transfer case fluid also changed with ATF4+ at 13k with diffs All recalls performed as needed including ball joints and aligment ![]() ![]() Clean carfax, no accidents or otherwise All original documentation including window sticker and such All receipts/documentation to substantiate items above, all documentation from dealer recall/service that has been performed. So what do you guys think about price, and also you guys think it is best to try and sell locally, Autotrader, Ebay? Looking for opinions because I have been watching the market and prices are all over the joint. Any help is appreciated. |

Good point. This Liberty has lived its life in New Mexico, so a very dry state. Windows in front have been tinted with 35%, legal in most every state. Thanks, Greg |

We'll, I'm not an expert. Don't even own one yet. But, I can tell you my observations through 3 weeks of looking for one. The limited goes higher than anything else, and white seems to be the ticket. Prices as you said really vary all over the place. Go to the nada site and "book" it. Then you have a starting point. Seems like a few people will be moving to the GC with the new diesel. That may bring a few more into circulation. E-bay is always an option. Good luck with the sale. As a seller keep in mind what most people bought them new for after the "discount" from sticker. Also keep in mind that you can buy a new gas burner with 0 percent interest, and good rebates. Pete |

check CARMAX for dealer type pricing. Also, on ebay , if you have an account, you can search for closed auctions and see what they sold (or not) for. |

Yep, that would be it. Good eye. Hoping it draws a lot of bids, as the wifes 04 MDX Touring is en route and due for arrival late next week. Greg |

Thanks for the tip on Carmax. I checked and they list 93 liberty's only 3 of which are CRD's. 19 to 20k so in the ballpark. |

Might want to check/delete that 100k diesel warranty statement. Has anyone confirmed this besides the out-house lawyers? |

I have it in a typed statement from Jeep. Are they not honoring those warranties now? I guess I can strike that statement to be safe. Thanks, Greg |

I don't know the price but I just wanted to say congrats on the "irish twins" I have a pair myself...my boys are 14 months apart. Its great having them so close in age, they are famous friends, but two completely different personalities...which I love. They are now almost 4 and 5 and love riding in the KJ. whenever we go anywhere, they always say, "dad, are we going in in your Jeep?" Anyhow, I hear ya on the baby seats...what a racket and hassle those things are (we had to have 4 for both cars. Wife works part time and stays at home the rest, so we had to do everything double-time for convenience...I sure wasn't going to be swapping out seats every other day. LOL)...I was soooo glad when the day arrived that both boys could be in a $15 booster seat...anyhow, again, congrats on the new arrival, that's going to be one fun thanksgiving. best to ya and on the sale of the CRD. Very nice ride you have there. I'm sure it won't take long. |

Are you talking about the factory warranty or an extended one that you purchased extra. I assumed you meant the factory warranty by the way you described it. |

It should be in your owners manual and some received letter recently suggesting adding extended warranty from Jeep as their Jeeps neared the end of warranty that also mentioned the special diesel warranty coverage in the letter. I have another question though. The'06 had a 3/36 warranty but I thought the '05 had a 7/70 warranty. If that were true yours should still be covered breakerbacker. |

Well I got $25k out of the insurance company for my '05 CRD. If I remember right $19K was what I got for the car. The rest was accessories. It had 50k on the odometer. |

Wow, you did pretty well on that 05, $25k. I have not received any letter from Jeep mentioning anything about special diesel warranty. I called dealer service and they said there was no 100k warranty. It is def. covered for some time still. Thanks for the input. Greg |

Reserve has not been met yet, but interest has been pretty good. It has made the watch list for a number of Ebayers. Sure hope interest finishes strong. Greg |
