Do you think this CRD UK model is being made in Toledo?

I believe they are all made in Toledo. I read the review link and noted:

"The ride height reduction inevitably means that the Cherokee doesn't have as much ground clearance as before, which leads to a few extra bumps and scrapes in difficult off-road conditions. The other off-road issue is that the Cherokee isn't class-leading on very steep downhill slopes - it won't maintain very low speeds, and there's a risk that you might start yarding towards the bottom when you intended merely to inch."

So did they forget to use 4 low for steep decent? Do they expext to handle like a Porsche?

They are made in Toledo. I think the engine braking issues are probably from inexperience taking an auto offroad. Engine braking in the manual is AMAZING! I would image an auto in 1st (4lo) would also be pretty impressive due to the low down torque.

I think the reviewer may have had their head up their arse.. I've the the 45RFE tranny that the CRD uses (although with only four drive gears, and an extra 2nd gear kick-down). The compression breaking with this tranny is very impressive even in 4-hi and 1st gear. In 4-Low and first it becomes the imovable object.

DC should send the reviewers a Q&A on offroading before loaning them a vehicle.
