I've noticed that on this CRD, when I put the transfer case in low range, suddenly the throttle sensitivity changes and it requires more force on the pedal to get the Jeep to move. It's like having to "re-learn" how to drive the Jeep all over again. I HATE IT. :x

After reading an article on the Jeep Commander, it appears that the Jeep engineers have done this on purpose to the Commander as well. Apparently, it was supposed to eliminate "jerking" when taking off in 4-low. So I guess since the CRD Liberty has an electronic throttle control system, they put this "feature" on it too.

I think it's pretty flippin' annoying. Anybody else noticed this yet? I don't even hardly use my low range on this Jeep now because of it.

They may have do that to reduce driveline stress when in those low gears. The CRD has plenty of torque ....put a touchy throttle with it and that makes for some major stress on those running gear parts...

I would agree on the torque comment. When it rains around here, I have to drive in 4 HI just to keep my rear tires on the road. I forgot yesterday, leaving a stop sign and into a turn and suddenly I was facing the wrong direction! This is my third Libby. The 3.7L is a good engine, but nothing like the CRD at the low end.
