Post subject:  need help from the skid plate experts

So I was at at the dealer for an hour during my lunch today only to find out that they know squat about something I consider pretty basic. I had a tech and 2 service writers looking at the same picture trying to figure it out. Maybe sombody has purchased these already and can lend a hand. I am trying to find the front skid plate (and anything needed to install it) that covers the oil filter on my 05 CRD. If the item wasn't $100+ and non-returnable I wouldn't care and would just order it, but I don't want to take the chance of getting stuck with the wrong part. I really need to purchase some sort of skid because my next oil change is coming up and I am getting ready to install the Fumoto. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

***For anyone who has the parts diagram in PDF format, to explain things more simply, the parts diagram shows a skid plate, belly pan support, and another skid plate and is very unclear which to use (if any) for a CRD that did not come with one from the factory.

If anyone needs a better explination let me know, I tried to make it as clear and simple as possible.

not an expert, but here goes.

CRD has a factory front skid .. I replaced mine with the Mopar optional front skid, which is thicker.

next one back I believe is called the engine skid ... then the transmission skid ... then gas tank way back

the engine skid is what covers the oil filter area.

edit I do believe this is the one that covers the oil filter

So you're saying there is a Front Skid -> Engine Skid -> Transmission Skid -> Gas Tank skid?

I thought it was
Suspension/Engine Skid -> Transmission -> Transfer case -> Gas Tank :?:

Just go to jparts.com and order a tranny skid for $41.00. Its a dealer in PA. I just got mine today and it covers what you need. It comes with the hardware to mount it to the rear crossmember and the front mounts on the factory crossmember were the factory skid is located on the CRD.
