I bought new 16" Unique (a.k.a. Cragar) Series 42 Heavy Duty (16x7) wheels http://www.uniquewheel.com/catalog_pg5.html And mounted 235/70/R16 Cooper Discoverer ATR's which look great (I'll upload pics later) but the front tires are rubbing just slightly towards the cab of the wheel well, on the pinch weld :?: The plastic where it sticks out towards the bottom is rubbing slightly on a semi-tight turn, but that's only @ 31 psi I'm afraid if I put them up to 40 psi it will be much worse.

Any suggestions or cautions on how to trim the plastic back exposing the pinch weld (I think that's what it was called) I could go butcher it with a steak knife like I did for the front bumper tow hooks. Thanks.

I think those wheels have 4" backspacing and that is why they rub...you could trim off the plastic and hammer down the pinch weld...or...add a lift...

The only reason the 235/70/16's are rubbing are because the BS...it increases the 'arc" the wheel/tire travel...

When pounding the pinch weld, do you hammer it in on itself or kind of fold it over? As in hammer on top of the weld or from the side.

Thanks,
Cam
