Hi guys.

Been trying to search the forum for links to a picture of the torque curve for the 2.8CRD without the VGT turbo. The first version of the 2.8CRD that is.

I've found some threads but it seems like the pics referring to the torque curves are missing. At least I can't see them :(

I've been wondering how it looks like ever since I saw a guy describe it with too few words.

Search my posts for Inmotion tune and you'll find my dyno charts stock and with the tune, or I could email them to you.

I would try the VMMOTORI website for the "older" 2.8L

Thanks both of you.

My 2.8 is not a VGT like yours CATCRD, but the torque curve looks like an ordinary diesel curve. Steep from low rpm with a single mountain top and slowly decaying. Some people gave the impression that it was very steep at both sides of the peak. Diesels just don't do like gassers and keep the torque curve up, they have a band where they produce plenty of torque and usually below half the redline.

I would like some factory numbers for the CRD - and I'll be sure to head over to VM motori to check out their technical documents. I have searched once though and got nothing, but I'll try again.

Sorry, I didn't read your title closely enough. But there are torque and power curves for the R428 on the vm motori website. Maybe they have VGT and non-VGT versions posted.
