If some of you want to stock some of those Sensors well They went up.
The Map sensor went from $43.00 to #85.00. And we tought that DCX was bad.

Ouch that is a huge jump in price. I wonder why? Redesigned maybe?

Surely we've got a DC tech on the forum who could find out what is different on the new MAP part number.

Who knows - maybe it'd be worth the investment if it solved some of the issues we've come to know and love... :)

Is that the MAP sensor? A parts search shows "Air intake temp sensor, liberty, 2.8l 2005 - 2006"

My understanding is that they are one and the same.

I went to newmoparparts.com and looked up that part number, the number is still a good number and they sell for $38.80/each on there. What happens when this part fails?

No it take some times to change price. if you order it they will call you for the new number and the price.
I did call in town and two in line store and they all are pricing it at about the same.

Mine went into limp mode with CEL. Only way to fix it was to clean or replace it. Dealer done it under warranty.

I'm guessing that "failure" in most cased just means it's completely clogged. Economy and turbo lag seem to be affected when it's dirty, too. That's why cleaning it is now part of my oil change routine. Hopefully it won't ever go "bad".
