My CEL came on in my CRD. Took it to the dealer and told them one of the intercooler hoses is leaking oil (surprise surprise) and it also had a CEL on. The codes were P0101 and P0105. They ordered the hose and I took it back in today for them to install it. The service writer came out and said the hose is on, BUT the CEL will most likely come back on because the tech said the turbo is not working and the tech that knows about this diesel is out until monday. I could hear the turbo whoosh and the service writer did too, and we both were a little confused. He said the tech must have seen something for him to want me to bring it back Monday. No big deal I said, i'll bring it back Monday. As I was driving home, I was getting on the interstate and some idiot was going 40mph, so I floored it to pass and all of a sudden the CEL came on and I lost power. I pulled over and restarted it and it seemed OK, but the CEL was still on. I am curious what P0101 and P0105 could be caused by? Maybe I can help the dealer fix it a little quicker  Thanks!

Funny, you should ask that, at this particular time - they're having a sale on the MAP sensor over on another thread, here.........................

Those codes are for the MAP sensor, or Boost sensor, in the vernacular - try unplugging it, replugging it to burnish the contacts - if no help, pull the sensor outta the manifold (pics in the CRD Tech section, next door), clean the EGR stuff off of it with hot water and soap (make sure the significant other is outta the house fer a while, first) or Diesel fuel or paint thinner (NOT lacquer thinner!!!) - repoke it and should be good to go.

Other than that, it's Mr MoParts for the cure and Mr MoService for the fix

Hmmm... I suspect it is my own fault then, lol! I took it out last week to clean the soot off of it. I used CRC Electonic cleaner and some compressed air, since I do not have any carb and choke. I have cleaned it a few times before with carb and choke, but maybe the air and electonic cleaner was not a good idea, haha. Well, it is still under warranty. I posted a reply to the other thread stating that newmoparparts.com has them for $38.50. Thanks for the advice!!

Try the connector, then - maybe it's loose - check the wiring for pinched, frayed, etc

I just went out and checked everything. I did not see anything wrong. Took it for a ride, pulled into my driveway and revved it up a little and it went into limp mode, ran like crap! Sounded like it was running on a 2 cylinders and was loud. I shut it off and tried to start it, and it would not start. I waited about 30 seconds, primed the fuel filter (this probably did not help) and it started and ran fine.

P 0101 has to do with the MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor Circuit/Range Performance - the one at the air filter you unplug for the basic ORM.

Basicaly, the computer is saying that the MAF is working, but it's throwing screwy signals that's outside the range the computer expects to see.

You'll get the same code with a SEGR if you didn't get something quite right inside the box or didn't get good connections on the wiring to the MAF.

OTOH, P 0105 is for the MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) Pressure Circuit.
