Synthetic Blend Oil

I found an off brand, Farm Rated, oil at Mills Fleet Farm for $20 for 2 gallons. This oil meets the requirements in the manual, what are your thoughts of using this oil in the CRD?

What requirement did it meet, exactly? I was under the impression that the owner's manual specifies full synthetic...

Section 0, page 4 calls for Symthetic oil meeting CL/SF rating. Page 5 calls for Mobil one 0-40 and if that's not available then Mobil One 5-40 would be acceptable.

So I would guess a synthetic blend would not be acceptable. I use Shell Rotella Synthetic (blue bottle) 5-40. It's available at Wally world but they sell out of it fast. Wally for a while had the new Mobil One Turbo Diesel oil but I've not seen it for a while.
