The tach would crank up to 3600rpm, then drop back to 2500rpm, then back and forth for as long as I was pulling a hill. The shifts happened maybe every 5-10 seconds.
I had the same experience pulling my trailer before I added a lift pump
I took it to the dealer and of course (6K from end of warranty) they gave me the "cannot duplicate" bit. They refused my offer to drive with them and the trailer hooked up along the same route. I suggested that the tranny pump might be weak. There reply was "Either it works or it doesn't, and if it doesn't you stop moving."
My dealer's tech must have watched the same 1 hour video
Any suggestions? I'll put in the Suncoast TC, a shift kit and the redesigned pump eventually, but would like DC to take care of business while the warranty lasts.
Get a intank lift pump, it's starved for fuel. You can bleed the filter housing as a test
I added a posi-flow external pump but for a cleaner setup I'm planning on replacing it with the dodge cummins intank lift pump
