I have never used the cruise much, but while on a cross country trip I noticed the following: If I set the cruise to 75-80, discontinue it by braking or hitting cancel, then resume to cruise from a much slower speed-- the CRD really moves trying to get back up to speed. It snaps you back in the seat hard. I have also noticed that if I just floor it at 50-65, not using cruise, the CRD is much slower. When the cruise is resuming speed, the power reduces noticeably before the shift, and returns afterwards-- pushing you back in the seat again. Just using the pedal results in the throttle going towards redline and the push in the seat is missing. I also don't notice the power reduction before shifting. Has anyone noticed this? (I am post F37). It would be nice if it went like that all the time and I am sure that this has something to do with F37. For those with F37 and cruise, this might make freeway passing more pleasurable. |

That's normal for a drive-by-wire 'servo' - it's much more noticeable with a turbo - much more noticeable the greater the desired\actual spread - B funny if hastily-concieved F37 overlooked Resume in Cruise mode |

You can replicate that if you don't floor the gas pedal. Instead of doing that push it hard but not enough for the tranny to perform kickdown. In some situations on the CRD it is better to stick with the gear you are in, not bothering to shift down. |
