Fair amount of smoke comes out all the time, I think we need to install a coke bottle catch can.

That is a lot of smoke. Run the hose out the rear a bit more. I saw TJ with a Christmas tree on his hood. I think that beats your wreath. Merry Christmas, \ Travis |

Because of the smoke? Mine smokes more than that, especially when its warming up in the morning. I'd rather have it smoking under the hood than oil in my intercooler/intake. |

I thought that the one of the reasons for using full synthetic oil was that it did not smoke and cause these CCV discharge problems. Do you think it is oil smoke or moisture vapor? I have the SEGR mod. in operation and the CCV issue will be the next to tackle. I am still studying the different solutions but have not decided how I will address it. I still have a lot of warranty left and think the EHM would be the easiest to put back to stock. What oil are you using Sam? The book says to use Mobil 1 - 0w40 full synthetic. That is what is in mine with a Mobil 1 oil filter for about 4,300 miles. It looks pretty black on the stick. Anybody used anything else that might be less likely to smoke and still offer the benifits of full synthetic? |

Mine smoked pretty bad, so I installed a Provent. You wouldn't believe the gook that thing filters out. You DON'T want it in your intake I PROMISE you. |

Smell it, it's really just steam and oil vapor more than smoke. |

It still stinks I took the Provent out for some warranty work - when it came back I did the EHM and couldn't stand the smell - put the Provent back on. |

I dont hardly see any condensation or oil spots coming out, seems like mostly just steam. ATXKJ wrote: It still stinks

When you first install the EHM it will take a few weeks for the oil residue to work its way down the hose. After that about one really black oil drip comes out a day. The smell has never bothered me, but I'm looking at installing a compressed air filter inline instead of venting to atmosphere. |
