Can anyone give me some advice on buying diesel fuel in Southeast VA? I'm looking for bio, but the closest I can find (even B05!!) is 3 hours away. Anyone know of a bio location closer to VA Beach? Or, failing that option; anyone know which of the national stations sells the highest quality petro-diesel 40+cetane? I liked Shell gas in all the cars I've owned, but I don't know whose diesel will consistently be better. THANKS!! |

Check out http://forums.biodieselnow.com/ and the VW TDI forums http://forums.tdiclub.com/postlist.php? ... oard=UBB44 They have info on where to get biodiesel. I'm having a 55-gallon drum delivered on Friday. $3.25/gallon delivered (petro-diesel is $3.39 out here). I'll probably run a couple tanks of B50 before trying for B100 - depending on my ski trip plans and such. |

As a side note - I bought 20 gallons of B99 today in Houston. The guy gets a tax credit for including the 1% diesel. By the time I got there, I was running on fumes, so we just filled her up. I put on 50 miles and can't tell the difference. Which is a good thing. BTW, I paid $2.85 a gallon. Diesel aorung Houston right now is anywhere from $2.99 to $3.29. |
