warranty
Hello, I can bet that using segr will void my warranty right? I have had all the problems most have.Right now my crd is in limp mode.I unplugged the mp8 and that was not the problem.I have not yet cleaned the egr sensor. The crd goes to the shop on mon. the 7th.When you start it,there is an air sound, whooshing, then as drivin,it pulses up/down rpm's,major loss of power, lots of smoke out the back.I have the 7/70 so it's kind of hard to sell it,cause in a wierd way it's fun to get a loaner car while they fix it or attempt to.I like the idea of having 4x4 for a back-up,my other ride is 52mpg jetta tdi. Thanks for your time!

I am not the person in question (even if I have zero posts until just now), but I think his problem is due to a blown out intercooler line.

I had the exact same thing happen to me a few months back, and they replaced the damaged intercooler line, as well as a damaged mass air flow sensor.

I was down 400 dollars at the end of the day, but it fixed things. Hopefully those Samco lines will come out soon, since I'm throwing another P0299 right now that could very well be due to the lines crapping out on me again.

Yup, classic blown intercooler hose.

The turbo clamp to the hose is loose and the hose blow out of the turbo. That happern to me twise; I had to tite the clamp hose very hard and so far is holding ok..

I'll take a look at that, as well as look at the condition of the hoses in general. The FSM does mention checking out all of the hoses and the like, so I might as well give them and the connections a lookover just to see if something obvious isn't to blame for the 299 in my case.

Thanks.
