| Post subject: | ORM and upcoming dealer visit |
I've been running the ORM for >25k miles (have 75k total miles). Need to visit the dealer to diagnose a "chirping / squeaking" sound from the lower, front center of the engine. Do I plug in the MAF sensor and clear the codes, and what should I expect to happen after its plugged back in? |

I have a 2006, so it may be different, but it takes 3 starts after I plug it back in, to turn off the light and clear the codes. |

Or....plug it back in and stop by your local auto parts to use their code reader to clear the codes. |

I have a code reader and routinely clear the codes. My question is - what will happen when I plug in the MAF after 25k miles? Is there a soot accumulation behind a now closed valve, or something similar, that will be released when the sensor is plugged back in? Will my egr suddenly become clogged? |

I've plugged mine back in for dealer visits with no ill effects. |

What Chad said. Generally it will stay cleaner ORM'd so a problem is more likely to occur when you unplug it I would think. |
