I have a cel with the 101 code. I believe it is my EGR/FCV as it no longer makes the normal buzzing noise with a shut-off. My dilemma is that, from what I understand, a new EGR is not covered once past the 3/36. I do have the SEGR kit and if I install it after clearing the code, will it keep the cel off or am I stuck going to the dealer to fix the EGR and cel? Please help!

Thanks

101 is a MAF error. If it is your MAF sensor, the SEGR will not fix it.

I get confused between the MAP and the MAF. Is this is the little sensor that everyone cleans periodically? Does anyone know the part number on this? I doubt it will be covered under warranty. Thanks!

No, the MAF is the "ORM" sensor, on the air box. It sounds like it might be bad. When it's simply disconnected, the code is 102.
