Yikes!! I just paid half of that and I have less miles.

At that price we should all buy an extra CRD and open a CRD lot in the Pacific NW. I imagine that we could fund our mod list quite nicely.

Welcome to the northwest. Diesel is HOT here. I was at a dealership two days ago and the service department kept going on about how I was one of the 'lucky ones' since I had the diesel Liberty. Everyone was practically drooling. While I was standing there waiting for my shuttle ride to work *two* Grand Cherokee CRD's were sold and driven off the lot, and another one was taken out for a test drive.

I wish you guys from the midwest could see it for yourself, its really wierd for me to see you guys complaining about depreciation when out here I can still sell mine for what I paid for it, and there would likely be a line formed to get it from me...

You missed my point, "Canadian Miles" is something of an oxymoron, yet in the ad the abbreviation of "m" is used, rather than "km" which makes you wonder which it actually is they are referring to.

Ya I saw that. That is why I confirmed that it is kilometers even though they used the "m" abbreviation. Either way it's still expensive. :D

Guess I should sell my CRD and buy a new GC.

Heck, I paid $19,100 for my '05 last spring and it only had 9600 miles on it. That was from Carmax, which ain't the cheapest place to buy a vehicle.

If I can get $28,000 for my CRD, then I'd have a nice down payment on a GC and probably a lower payment.

Any Canucks want a Liberty CRD?? :)

I've actually been considering this, but I decided against the current GC. I test drove it and while its highly refined, nearly dead silent and an all around better ride.....its just not as 'fun'. You punch the accellerator and it dosen't push you into your seat. I know that may sound like a ridiculous complaint, but it really bothered me.

After all was said and done I decided to hold off on a GC CRD(could get into one for $32k or so brand new, which after selling my Libby would actually end up a lower payment than my current one), and see if the 09 has that new Cummins 6cyl diesel. I'm figuring that if it does since its a bit bigger it may give me that feeling I like in my Libby, and also they may offer a better warranty since Cummins typically has a 100k mile warranty on their engines.

Once I know what the plan is with the 09's, I'll make my decision. Just have to hope that Toyota dosen't go release a diesel Rav4 and deflate the market for CRD Liberty's out here between now and the 09 diesel GC.

If Toyota was smart, they'd sell THIS in the USA:

http://www.toyota.co.uk/cgi-bin/toyota/ ... 52&sr=Mall

or this...

http://www.toyota.com.au/toyota/vehicle ... 82,00.html

I personally would like to see this vehicle here in the US:

Ever noticed the people driving the RAV4? They don't look like diesel buyers to me and it's smaller then the liberty. But I'm sure it would have a market. Now if the FJ were offered in a Diesel

I think I read recently the dollar and the loon ( I think thats what they call it) are equal. The loon maybe even worth more. The dollar hasn't been doing well
