Post subject:  SEGR kit for sale

I decided not to install the SEGR. I have a kit from LocoCRD's first batch, and it has been soldered and tested by UFO. No other assembly has been completed. I'll sell it to the first PM for what I have in it ($67 kit + $40 assembly + $5 postage = $112 to paypal).

This is a good deal. I expect somebody to jump on this right away.

I am also actually contemplating selling my kit (unsoldered, still in the bubble mailer) and buying Loco's second-generation kit. Would anyone be interested in it at what I paid, $85 shipped? PM me if so.

Functionally, there are no changes. Loco hasn't actually made them yet, but he was thinking about revising the PCB layout for easier assembly. Since I wasn't planning on installing mine until spring (this is my wife's daily driver winter vehicle and we cannot afford downtime), I can afford to sell my current one off to someone who wants it now, and buy the new one later. See here.

The second gen kits do not have screws and standoffs included to build the box. The PCBs both still need a little trimming to get them to fit around the CPC connector, but the first gen requires a mountng hole or two to be drilled as well. Also the first gen did not include an inline fuse; it's a good idea to add that.

Edit: It's the first gen kit that doesn't include the hardware. Sorry for the confusion.

UFO,

The kit I got from you had a fuse inside the box. Is this okay or do I need to add something?

It's ok, it's a 2nd generation kit.

Thanks UFO.... :D

The SEGR is done, the receiver hitch is now on, and I'm a step away from having the wiring kit completed. Getting further. One of these days it will be a worthy diesel...... 8)
