Ooh! Ooh! I just caught gmctd out. Stanadyne doesn't make powerstroke IPs since the Power stroke does not have an IP. 8)

You're right - the 7.3 did, tho, B4 they called it the Powerstroke - the IP was identical to the 6.5 IP butcept cw rotation 'stead of ccw - Navstar is gear-drive cam, 6.5 is chain-drive

The Powerstroke 7.3 was an ~18000psi 'unit injector' system

Ummm.....I need at least a B on this to keep my term avg up, since they scrapped the 'no student left behind' program............

Oh...yeah, right - these extra credit projects do pay off, sometimes, even more than just schmoozing the teacher

Uh, this may be a dumb question. But where is the hand lift pump? Don't you still need that? I really am new to this, so this may be a dumb question. It just seems like that is important. Thanks.

Wow, Talk about resurrecting an old thread.

If you have an electric lift pump, you don't need to hand pump on the fuel head. gmctd pioneered the in tank lift pump modification

Stephen you need to read Sam's NOOB guide for lots of stuff including the use of the fuel filter head bleeder pump which is covered early in the guide.

Did I mention ease of filter replacement..................

gmctd, do I need any additional hardware to do this install? Or does all the OEM hardware (banjo fittings, etc) fit on to the new filter assembly? I found a filter assembly and have it ready to install, but wanted to pick up any additional required widgets from the store before I remove the OEM assembly and lose my ability to run out pick them up. Thank you.
