i would use the mopar filters
the flat one comes with new seal [pull with seal puller & install with CORECT size socket extesion & hammer]
even though it looks ok change it anyway & lube filter tube with atf before installing it.
the spin on filter just like car filter lube seal with atf & hand tighten ONLY
I pulled my pan & both filters & let drain 4 hours
put new filters & seal on at lunch
cleaned pan & fresh atf rtv
filled with atf-4 took like 12 quarts
service fill is listed at 10 pints
overhaul fill is 28 pints
this fixed my "delay"
the spin on filter is ussally what causes it[drainback delay etc]
if you let it drain long enough you wiil be draining almost all of tranny
DO NOT OVERFILL!! take your time & fill it to halfway mark on dipstick
