I am installing a ProVent next to the coolant overflow tank and need some advice regarding how to properly secure it. I have read all the Provent posts, and opinions range from " leave it floating" to complex bracketing. I am using flexible hoses with copper joints. Please let me hear from those folks that have their ProVent installed for a while regarding what has worked for them. Also would appreciate advice on best practice for routing the drain tube. I am using 1/2 inch transparent tubing with a brass valve which I would like to access from below for draining. Any ideas/pictures wil be greatly appreciated. |

My install has worked out "ok". http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/sho ... hp?t=72759 The hose going below the boost hose has now been routed below the intake hose to get more space for the boost hose. Also the upper hose from the CCV has been run over the A/C hose (but further back, so the A/C hose is still on top regarding hood clearance). Can't take pics now, maybe tomorrow. Don't underestimate the room the boost hose takes up while accelerating! |

This thread was pretty recent and has a few things: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=29747 As far as mounting goes, mine is tie-wrapped to the vacuum riser assembly at the top and bottom. It's pretty stable, but eventually, I'd like to make an assembly of some kind that is more "permanent" The trick is getting it so it's at the right angle AND serviceable AND doesn't jiggle/vibrate against things. For now, tie wraps are doing a great job (9mo+) Dan |
