Post subject:  Hi from Ayrshire

just took delivery of my 06 model CRD Limited Auto in Bright Silver. It originally had the cloth interior but I got the dealer to bring in a retrimmer and do the entire seat in leather, I went with BMW Montana hide made by Bridge of Weir in silver grey with Jeep embroidered into the front headrests. Even the dealer himself was stunned at how it looks in comparison to the factory leather cars.
I will be doing a few other little mods but as this is my wifes car upcountry work will be a bit "limited" pardon the pun :)

Any other UK KJ riders around here?

Hi down there in Ayshire.

Good to here of someone so close to home, I'm up in South Lanarkshire. I have had the CRD Ltd since March 05 -- but with plain old leather seats. I am currently awaiting delivery of a transmission skid plate (in stainless steel no less).

My last outing was on the Scottish Offroad Club's Wheels in the Woods day at Walkerburn near Peebles. I had to keep jumping out of the cab to check if my Oil filter was still there. However it was great day with not too much mud although my wife thought it was a white knuckle ride at times.

I was the only Cherokee (Liberty) there and looked very shiny, but that big Italian Diesel raised a few eyebrows as it climbed along in a sea of Land Rovers.

Great to hear from you.

Cheers

Jock

Welcome to the list.

Ahh, Scotland, brings back some fond memories. I was stationed on the sub tender in Holy Loch for 2 years 82/83, best two years of my time in the service (retired Navy enlisted). Lovely country, wonderful people, and oh, that medium sweet cider! :)

Hello and welcome!

I would love to see pictures of your Jeep in the Scottish countryside. I've always wanted to visit there and all the other countries of Great Britain.

Cheers!

Oh I don't know Ian, why not offer that one to Tony Blair and Gordie B. I am sure that it will ring a few home truths,
I prefer being LOST it always harder to hit a moving 4x4 target

That's a good point Derek, but I was thinking more along the lines that technically for us it's 'Cherokee Owners Special Team' i.e. COST :D
