What do the rear bolts for the engine skid plate thread into (something inside the cross member)? I tried to remove the bolts and on the driver side one I heard something give, and now it just spins freely. Are they like those press in fitting they give you for the transmission skid plate? I am thinking I will have to cut the bolt out and then drill out the top of the cross member to use a longer bolt and a nut. Any better ideas? Thanks.

I had to drill and tap the one on the right side and the one on the left side started to twist so I tightened up the one on the right side. Next week end I get to drill and tap the left side. Why, BEAN COUNTERS too cheap to use anti-seize :!: :!: :!:
All I wanted to do was change the oil in my front differential :!: :!: :!: :!:
