I searched and I looked but no info was found...so how do I remove the speaker from front doors? Do I need to remove the whole panel or does the grill come off? I have removed many panels before but just wondering if there are any tricks or just start yanking?

You have to take the whole door panel off, one or more screws and then just plastic clips (a trim tool helps) be careful when disconnecting the door opening handle from the rod ,dont be to rough. And before you start if you have premium sound system i believe you cant change the speakers so easy as the originals have the amp built into them.

Just did this a couple months ago. Jimmy is correct, be careful and realize that there are two screws that have to be removed, one in the handle and one in the latch.

It is easy just take your time. If you plan on upgrading later with a amp then run your speaker wires now. It saves time later. I used the factory brackets to mount 6.5" Focal 165V Editions in the doors and the tweeters in the dash. The imaging is not the best but with power it gets the vocals there.

Getting to the speaker is easy, as described by others.

Two screws holds it in place.

One in door handle, one in door latch. The one in the latch is behind a plastic cover which can be pried off with a screwdriver, but be gentle!

When you got the trim off (don't use a tool, you can just use your fingers and hands to pry it up) reach behind it and untangle the door latch "stick" which connects the door latch to the actualy mechanical door "latch" which keeps the door in place. You need to reach to it, pry back a piece of snap-on plastic and lower the rod out of the plastic holder.

Then you need to take care of the door lock "bolt" that comes out of the trim. Make sure you don't bend the rod which holds it in place.

It's an easy job, but best of luck anyway :)

Uffe you can use your fingers but a trim tool designed for the job reduces the risk of breaking the trim clips.
