Need to replace tranny fluid and filters. My local dealer is very expensive and won't discount. Any suggestions where I can buy OEM parts at a reasonable price? Thanks! Drew |

I just went to my local nappa and bought the transmission kit which included the flat filter with a replacement oil seal which I did not replace because I could not unscrew it and the spin on filter the whole kit cost around $27.00 with tax the spin on filter had to be ordered separately. Then I bought the valvoline ATF+4 since they make it for mopar that was around $4.70 a quart I ended up replacing about 10 quarts I drained the pan into the top of a big trash can so I could easily bend it to pour it through a funnel into a gallon milk jug to see how much came out of the tranny there is a magnet in the bottom of the tranny pan to collect metal particles I cleaned the pan really well and I had to use a wire brush to get the original gasket off the pan flange, it came off very well put the new gasket on then I put the bolts in which the new gasket held in place very well then I screwed the bolts in by hand and then used my impact wrench being very careful not to get them tight and then torqued them to 15 pounds and in a cross pattern so as to get equal pressure on the pan very easy. |

Man, that RTV is killing me! It's 2008 and we're still using RTV ![]() I have changed some other stuff recently and went from RTV to gaskets and it really makes a difference. Kinda was hoping for the same here. |

I know, it sucks. I was glad to find a gasket for the rear diff. I couldn't find one for the tranny, so if anyone else has, pipe up. |

http://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/Chr ... 52140d.htm Might work. Dunno, the aftermarket pans fit both the 45RFE and the 545RFE... |

I bought my filter kit with both filters that includes the cork gasket I did not use from O'Reily Auto Parts for $39. I bought the ATF+4 fluid from Walmart, they had the best price. |
