I wanted to say thanks to everyone for all of the info and help on this forum - after just under 2 years, I decided to trade off the CRD.
Too many issues for it to be my primary vehicle at this point .... :(

If anyone is looking for a CRD - I traded it in Lewisville, TX (I believe that they are going to wholesale it; if not - it's at Lewisville VW)

Thanks to all!

:D

Sorry to see you leave. Does "VW" mean you traded it in on a TDI of some kind?

Unfortunately, no ... no new TDIs available until late this year.

I ended up with a GTI instead - I will most likely start saving up for a "beater" Jeep for wheeling in - I wouldn't mind having another CRD if the price is right, but I don't think that'll be anytime soon (on the price being reasonable that is; not for a beater anyway)

I was sorry to see the CRD go - I had put a lot of time and effort into it ... *sigh*

Do you know how much they are asking for it?

Wow, with all those mods you'd think it would be problem free.

Not sure how much they are asking for it - my guess would be around 19K or so. Probably a little less.

Yeah, you'd think it would be problem free - but 3 rear mains and another one going out AGAIN - the dealer wasn't willing to admit that something else is wrong. I just got tired of paying a note on a vehicle that was parked in a dealer's shop for 2 weeks at a time because either they couldn't get parts or couldn't get it right.

I would be lying if I said I didn't regret trading it a bit, but the time and inconvenience factor has gotten out of hand. I'm working a new job, and missing work isn't an option for me right now.
