Does anyone know if the mopar fuel tank skid will fit if i have a rear towbar fitted. The towbar uses the six pre threaded holes in the chassis. Thanks for any help.

It will fit. It utilizes the same bolts/holes and they will hold both fuel skid and towbar no problem.

I have the skid, RL bumper and a hitch all mounted to the same point. Once I added the hitch (to the bumper and the skid), I had to get longer bolts, but all is well now.

Yes the skid will fit, bit of a headache though, I did it in the parking lot at work one afternoon and took longer than expected about 90 min, but I did it all myself w/ hand tools and a lot of heavy lifting. If I remember correctly new bolts (longer) come with the skid.
-Make sure to disconnect the wiring harness before you drop the tow bar (that thing weights a ton!)
-The bolts on the passenger side are tough to get too around the exhaust, had to get the dealer to put in the last bolt (closest to bumper) because I couldn't get clearance to get it in w/ a socket wrench.
Personally I ended up dropping the tow bar, bolting in the skid on drivers side and then moved the the passenger side bolted in the skid and tow below it, then back to drivers side to un-do the bolts again, and prop up the skid and tow bar and complete the job well 85% at least.

Sadly I think that went a little smoother than the CAT install but that's another story. Thank goodness I have a house and garage now...

Thanks for that ,now i know that skid goes on before hitch and that i will definatley need longer bolts, although the ones that came with the hitch are pretty long. How much does the skid weigh?.All these questions and i havent won it on flea bay yet,he also has the tranny skid might as well bid on that as well.

I dunno how much the tank skid actually weights, maybe 15 kg, but the tow bar probably weighs at least twice as much. Tranny skid is a much simplier install I think it just slides in a slot towards the front and then 2 bolts into a cross brace if I remember right, I replaced all the skids w/ the thicker gauge ones they may overlap intentionally in a spot or two. I'd got crawl under the Jeep and check but it's snowing....
If the gas tank skid doesn't come with new bolts I'm fairly sure the OEM ones are still plenty long enough
