I saw the post regarding taping into the cold side of the intercooler.

Is there any other place to connect the boost gauge hose ?

Haven't done it or heard of it being done on the CRD but been thinking about this-

You could tap the hole in the intake manifold where the MAP sensor goes and put your boost sensor there, then extend the wires and move the MAP upstream to the cold side of intercooler or a custom coupler with fitting spliced into IC hose. Advantages-
__MAP sees colder temps on average and therefore ECM pulls back timing less when IAT is high. (less heat soak)
__MAP would no longer be located downstream of EGR, which is is kinda silly
__Boost is read from intake manifold

Or you could just drill and tap the intake manifold. Some people do that in-place with grease on bit and tap to capture shavings, I'd remove it to eliminate shavings risk. Just a thought.

Intake manifold, as such, is not an intake manifold, but rather the entire top of the head, incl the camshafts housing - not easily R&R'able

If you'll check pics on page2 in my fuel filter thread, you'll note several unused bosses on the aluminum casting, any one of which is suitable for a Boost source tap - drill an 0.125" pilot hole to determine thru-depth, then counter-drill with the correct tap-drill to match your tap, usually 1/8"NPT, only just enuff to take the tapped threads, so the larger drill shavings cannot pass thru the 1/8" hole into the manifold area, said hole being plenty large enuff to monitor Boost pressure with 1/8" tubing, eh.........

I just removed my CAC output hose, stuffed some towel into the intake "manifold", drilled, tapped, remove towel full of small metal pieces and put my boost sensor into the threaded hole.

Haven't ruined the engine yet, and I've done about 2,000kms since the install - there is hope!

I used one of the pre-tapped holes in the intake like GMCTD covers above:
1) Made a banjo bolt
2) Attached the boost hose to the banjo fitting
3) Packed the drill flutes with grease to catch the chips and drilled the pre-tapped hole into the manifold
4) Assembled and it works.
