Anyone knows how many wires should come factory terminated in the back of the OBDII connector?

Just for the record, that's OBD2 with CAN - ~ half those for strictly OBD2, pre-'02 - others are strictly oem-dependent, GM-DCJ-Ford-etc

Yes, and pin 7 is redundantly noted because it access the PCM(ECU and TCU) in the gasser and the diesel pin 7 accesses the ECU.

Thanks for the replies. I have an 06 CRD and there are only two wires terminated in the back of the OBDII connector. I bought it used and have had no issues with it. I am not sure if someone previously may have modified this connector and for what reason . Any ideas?

Purely speculation, but maybe they were trying to block the dealership's access. Only reason I can think of.
