Advance Auto has Mobil 1 synthetic on sale, 5w-40 turbo diesel, 5qts w/Mobil 1 filter for $26.58? Trouble is the they didn't have the filter for the CRD in stock. Didn't bother to ask them to order one, just got one for the Elantra.

I took advantage of this today. My local shop also did not have a filter in stock, but they offered to order one without any prompting. |

If they don't have the Mobil 1 filter the CRD calls for, use the M1-301. That's what I use. |

the fumoto and the HUGE M1-301 it is about 2 times the size of the stock filter... all on sale

So, the M1-301 actually fit, huh? I stopped to pick up the filter they ordered for me today and grabbed an M1-301 for comparison and was surprised. I too guessed that it was twice the size of the real filter. |

before i put it on i put the two opening to opening and the gaskets lined up... put 0.4 qt in the filter and spun it on quick. |
