It will not give you a CEL. Just keep driving it. The FVC is like the appendix of a Jeep. |

My FCV crapped out and all I notice are rougher shutdowns. I took the intercooler hose off and the butterfly was locked in the open position. It doesn't make a lot of noise, it just sounds different after you turn off the engine - a different pitch buzz and no click. After about 4 months the CEL came on with P1140, which I found oldnavy had when he had a bad FCV. Butterfly is still locked open though, so something in its circuitry must have finally given out. |
