Last time this happend (6000 miles ago) I took it to the dealer and they reset the "cvi" codes; said the TCM stored a bad value. Presumably the values that it learns from your driving.

Rough shift on 2-3 under low throttle positions. Foot down harder and it's fine. It's always had the crappy, slow 2-3 shift.

Any ideas?

I have had the same issue and it is still somewhat re-occuring at times. They did the same thing at the dealership for me.
My question is there anything you can buy to reset the code or do a relearn versus paying the dealership?

They fixed mine under the 80k emissions warranty... I think they did that because it took them 3 days to figure it out and that way they could charge Chrysler.

I tried unhooking the battery to clear it, but that didn't do it, so it must be stored more permanently.

I agree though, a do-it-yourself method of clearing would be adequate for me.

Yeah unfortunately for me I was out of my 3 year 36k bumper to bumper, so this fell into my 7/70 warranty, but that has a $100 deductible. So I would definitely like to try to avoid that whenever I can.

Is'nt there a sequence that you can do with the light switch or something like that to reset the codes after the battery has been disconnected.

I thought it was disconnect battery and touch the battery leads together for some time to reset the values.

Don't know for a fact that this resets the codes, but this is what I've been doing when the tranny doesn't shift the way I want it too. (after my son has driven it :D )

bugnout-

That helped, but there still seems to be bit of glitch in the 2-3 shift. Seems to me as if the timing between the clutch applies is incorrect. I held the battery leads together for about 30 s, maybe I'll try a bit longer when I get a chance.

I had tried that the last time before I took the vehicle to the dealership, meaning disconnecting the battery and then touching the leads. However, I didn't touch the leads for very long, but from my experience that didn't help the problem at all.
