I might have to import a US Spec trailer here. Who makes the best-strongest Class 4 hitch for the KJ? I really want to keep my E-spec hitch but I am not sure if I can use it on a US trailer. Thanks.

Class IV is rated to 10,000 lbs, are you sure you need that (i.e. are you exceeding the 5k the KJ is rated to)? Also, is your e-spec the threaded-tube style like this asfir:

or the 4-bolt nato-style that can take a pintle mount? Got a picture?

The OEM MOPAR US spec KJ hitch is a classIV rated hitch, even though the KJ is not rated for 10,000lbs,but the hitch is.

I wanted to tow a little more than 5000# so I bought the stronger hitch.

My current e-spec is rated to 3500kgs and looks like nothing like the US ones. It has to be replaced as it has a permant ball on it, 50mm. It is th elowest point of th eJeep.

Jins...you may get in big trouble with a US spec hitch...TUV doesn't like them very much.

Can't you get a different head for the trailer?

TuV is not an issue for me, I do not have to have my cars inspected by TuV.
