I vote pay down the CCs. They leak money faster than the depreciation of any vehicle and you'll have more money later if you're not saddled by debt. |

Sam I've seen what you can do but looking at this I see major problems in the right front. It will need lots of expensive parts unless you can find one crunched in the rear ![]() ![]() ![]() Get out from under the CC's ![]() Joe |

Though I still have the MJ CRD swap going on. And ya, the benz I just bought had 3/4 of a tank of diesel........nice little bonus. |

It all depends. Sir Sam and I have been trying to land one of these guys for the past few months but the bids are too high for our interest. Lately they have been going anywhere from $5,000 to $6,000. I placed a bid for $4,600 on a rolled CRD and got outbid. I was wanting to buy one for my JK project. After losing my bid, I decided to buy the individual parts (the 2.8 VM, Wiring, and Transmission) separately. The used market is getting cheaper. I’ve seen 2005 CRD’s with less than 50,000 miles sell for as cheap as $9,500 not wrecked. |

I think that rolled one you bid on went too high for what it was, even at klode. I would hope this one would sell around 3k. |

STATELINE wrote: Sir Sam wrote: maybe I should just pay off my CCs now........that would be the smart move. you said it yourself ![]() ![]() Ya, but even though I may be conscious of the smart thing, that doesn't always mean I do it. Anyone who has ever gotten beer and explosives together knows that. |

http://ww3.klode.com/kws/napplications/ ... Exit=Close no way in hell I would have paid that. It's really SAD when you can buy a non-wrecked CRD for $10,500 - $12,500. Why you would pay nearly $6,000 for a wrecked one that is going to require a lot of work and money is beyond me. I love diesels.......................................... Oh, I'm assuming those 2.8 engine swaps are becoming popular. By the time I finish my JK, there will be several out on the road. I think this is why we have been seeing "HIGH" prices for wrecked CRD's. |
