I have a friend who has a 70 or 80's model Isuzu I-Mark with a turbo charged diesel engine. He gets aobut 45 miles per gallon and more power using water injection. with it off, he gets about 35 and has to down shift going up a hill. WTF is going on?
On a side note, I have a 1984 Lincoln Continental Mark VII with a BMW Turbo Diesel, 2.4 liter, I routinely get about 45 miles to a gallon, granted the car is a piece of doodoo.
Again I ask, WTF is going on?
I do love my CRD though, has anyone looked at water injection? I do know that they used to use it on airplanes during WWII.
