| Post subject: | Mileage drop w/ larger tires |
I have moved up to B-Stones Revos 245 75 R16's with the OME lift kit. I am seeing a drop in mileage to +\- 23 on the highway.... I has been averaging 29 with the factory 225's Do I need to have the dealer or whomever change to computer to allow for bigger tires? I am basing my mileage on the EVIC only. OME was a great improvement! Thanks! Tom |

Yes, your EVIC will be way off now, but still expect a small drop when it's straightened out by the dealer reprogramming your ECU. |

From my experience, the switch from stock to 245-75-16 and lift was about 5% less MPG. EVIC (with reprogramed speedo) reads 10% optimistic compared to actual, My 06 ABS sensors provide odometer data and it is off by -9.5% (no way to reprogram this, I believe) yes, speedo and ODO use differnet sensors on 06 models.. go figure! Not sure about 05 with ABS... When I calculate MPG at fill up, I correct for the odometer error |

From the EVIC all you will hear is good news, do some manual calculations based on your actual distance covered (use GPS or milestones along the road) to measure your odo error and divide by number of gallons. I have had the EVIC off by more than 15% with stock setup. When I changed to 235/75 R16 the EVIC was closer to the real deal while the odo was 3% off |
