Edit: keep in mind your fuel injectors are serial numbered and programmed into your ECU with their exact flow rates (since they can vary +/- a few % of each other) as they were built and tested at the Bosch factory. Your ECU knows to very small error how much fuel is flowing through them. I think the bigger potential source of error is how close the rolling diameter of your tires is to what's in the ECU. If it's like most KJs, it's within 5%.
yup, injector flow is known.......its distance traveled thats the real variable in accuracy.
In my XJ my speedo is pretty much dead on at highway speeds, hence I have noted that my gas mileage is spot on for highway driving.
