Reading the "How often do you clean your MAP" thread prompted me to ask you guys a question
about something I have been thinking about since I changed my MAP sensor.
After removal of the MAP sensor (which of course looked like one big black plug) I took a look into
the inside of the intake manifold. Boy did it look nasty in there.
So my question is:
What is going to happen at 150K miles when it is all plugged up?
I'm thinking acute asthma attack.
Is this possible?

I'm not running the SEGR right now for certain reasons, but I think
I would like to install an EGR block off plate. I believe in cures.
It is done on other diesels.
I have been attentively reading and learning, but I have not seen one yet.
Someone posted awhile back, but he disappeared before we (or I) actually could see how he did it.
Can anyone tell me specifcally why electronically a plate would not work?
TIA.

Run SEGR, then you can plate-off the EGR supply pipe at the rear of the exhaust manifold - otherwise you will get several DTC's which may limp you under certain conditions, and fail you at state inspection time - run SEGR and you won't need to worry about it - after awhile, intake manifold will clean out from erosion, after you've limited the oily vapor intake with Provent\equiv

VW tdi owners know first hand what WILL happen at a mileage figure closer to 60k miles. Picture a rope around your neck restricting it to one half
