Just realized that my registration is up and I'm required by state to smog test this year. Will the EHM effect this or should I switch back to old/stock? Thanks in advance, WWV |

Your choice, a short piece of hose will bring it back to stock. Let us know. |

Just a dyno test....... took him longer to fill out info for computer than for actual test. Did a 30% and a WOT run up. I had my stock hose just plugged off and zip tied next to my EHM hose....just did quick switch and took in. Techs pulled cover to check name brand of engine....they didn't believe me....thought it was MB until they confirmed VM visually. Tech hadn't seen the 4 cycl liberty version only the new V6 Cherokees.....couldn't find my HP listed anywhere on sticker so he just took the same as the new Jeeps.....entered 163 HP! (is that right for the new?) Anyways, my EHM is so black(was clear when installed) I guess it blended into engine camo and they didn't notice or care. Passed with flying colors Noticed some oil on engine in the area where EHM is connected to puck. Checked clamp and check for cracks/leaks in hose...nothing. Where is oil coming from do you all suspect? Stock hose was still plugged and not leaking as well. FYI - Haven't had one check engine light since EHM....thanks all. WWV |

The clear vinyl hose hardens with heat and the effluent from the CCV, so requires more hose-clamp tension to seal for liquids - replace the EHM hose with new and lose the leak |
